This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability consists of 14 units of competency made up of 11 core units and 3 elective units. This qualification includes a mandatory 120 hour work placement.

Elective units have been selected by HANMAC on the basis of consultation with industry. Elective units that are not included in the elective section of this page are available by negotiation. Elective units must meet the packaging rules within 43115 before being considered for inclusion.

You must be an existing worker in the Community Services industry to access Higher Level Skills funding for this qualification.
Twelve months. This course is competency based and can be completed in a shorter time frame depending on the students existing skills and knowledge and prior learning.
